About BuildIQ
BuildIQ is dedicated to professionalizing the role of construction management and job site supervision through a vast, proprietary knowledge base of construction terminology, how-to best practices, and proven building science.
Our Mission
Initially launched in the year 2000 as an eLearning curriculum for home builders to train their construction, purchasing, and sales teams to follow sound building practices (a platform that is still offered to that audience), it has recently expanded to offer the same content—and more—as a free (yes, free!) service to educators and students of university-level construction management degree programs and adult workforce development programs to augment their curriculum and learning opportunities.
In addition, we intend to create and foster an online community of educators, students, home builders, and other construction industry stakeholders to share experiences, provide mentoring, and build relationships that help ensure construction quality and better-built homes. We encourage users of BuildIQ to engage with us to further refine the platform, respond to their needs, and deliver the best and more reliable, trustworthy, and accurate home building content.
Content on BuildIQ also is not available for others to commercialize. It’s made available to you to help grow the industry.
